Cookie Policy

Cookies, in plain English.

BusinessOS AI uses the smallest possible set of cookies and browser storage — just enough to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.

Last updated: October 2025

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They let a website remember things about you — such as whether you're signed in — from one page to the next, or from one visit to the next.

"Similar technologies" include localStorage and sessionStorage, which are browser storage mechanisms that work like cookies but stay entirely on your device.

2. What BusinessOS AI uses

We use the smallest possible set of cookies and storage needed to run the Service. Here is everything we store:

NamePurposeType
sb-<project>-auth-tokenKeeps you signed in to your BusinessOS account.Essential
businessos-cookie-consentRemembers whether you accepted the cookie banner so it doesn't show again.Essential
businessos-social-linksStores the social profile URLs you paste on the dashboard so they stay there between visits.Preference
businessos-ai-read-notificationsTracks which notifications you have already read.Preference

3. What we do not use

BusinessOS AI does not use:

  • Advertising cookies
  • Third-party tracking or analytics cookies
  • Cross-site tracking pixels
  • Fingerprinting scripts
  • Social media login cookies (we use our own auth only)

We don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other websites.

4. Your control over cookies

You can control cookies in three ways:

  • The banner: When you first visit BusinessOS AI, you can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only."
  • Browser settings: Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies will break the ability to stay signed in.
  • Clear site data: Clearing your browser data for businessosai.app removes everything we store on your device. You can also sign out from the dashboard.

5. Third-party cookies

Payment processing is handled by Paystack. When you complete a subscription payment, Paystack may set its own cookies on its checkout page. Those are governed by Paystack's own cookie policy, not ours.

We do not embed third-party analytics, ads, or social widgets that set cookies on BusinessOS pages.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever add a new cookie or storage mechanism, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
